0:00: Helen and Justin mostly had real life stuff to deal with over the past few weeks, but both did see Satoshi Kon’s Perfect Blue (which was in theaters September 6 and 10). They basically discuss that for a bit. A bit of spoilers are in this.
15:04: Crunchyroll announced at their expo a few weeks ago that they will start a Super Fan Pack. More information came out about it since this podcast was recorded.
17:40: They’re also bringing over some more manga (one of which had that live-action controversy)…and even more Square Enix titles to their service? If so, Justin makes a guess at 2 titles they could do…
20:10: Denpa’s Ed Chavez announced on the Reverse Thieves podcast that they licensed Today’s Menu for Emiya Family.
23:00: As always, Kodansha announced their digital offerings this month: Peach Girl NEXT, the rest of Peach Girl, The Walls Between Us and Ao-Chan Can’t Study.
24:59: Nyaruko BDs have expired!…Justin is not completely sad about this.
26:04: FUNimation’s bringing the following titles over in December: Anime-Gataris, Konohana Kitan, and Urahara. Back to the weirdness again soon enough.
26:40: Eleven Arts is bringing a bunch of films to theaters: Penguin Highway, The 3rd Laughing Under The Clouds film, and Liz and The Blue Bird in November. November’s gonna be fun…
30:00: Saiki K will get a proper conclusion in animated form.
30:50: A decent amount of magazines in Japan have been cancelled, and Justin and Helen discuss what they think is happening to the industry.
38:32: Welp, this could be it. This could be the last time we discuss Yamakan because he’s been suspended from Twitter. Even if he comes back, he’s not gonna go back to Twitter. It’s all for the best really.
41:43: Finally, we follow up with a weird news segment from Episode 60! Conan O’Brien actually went to Japan and to Conan Town. Let’s just say it didn’t start off well enough, but in the end, he got to meet Japan’s most popular Conan. The statue of course.
