0:00: Justin and Helen begin the podcast by of course sharing what they’ve been up to. One of them went and saw a movie. The other…went down to Georgia.
9:03: The start of this podcast begins with the heat in Japan and Comiket…Comiket having a lot of people. It’ll be a little different over the next few years.
15:15: If Netflix is gonna do anime originals…and Amazon’s gonna do anime originals (Sorta I think), it was only a matter of time before Crunchyroll, who has been co-producing anime over the past few years, would do their own original line. For now at least, Justin and Helen’s gonna wait until a longer trailer that shows the show before passing any judgment.
18:54: Justin however, has already passed judgment on the Netflix version of Death Note…and that Death Note‘s getting a sequel because it was a “sizable success“. This is why sometimes it’s best not to watch a show because it fools Netflix into thinking things are good!!!
22:42: Sentai’s license for Night Raid 1931 expired. This ultimately led to the hosts buying it. With good reason.
26:32: Eleven Arts is likely going to sneak Penguin Highway into theaters before the year is up.
29:39: Remember when companies halted Mine’s New Life+ titles/axed the anime? Well it’s back!…The manga is back at least. Does make you wonder if the LN will come back…
33:15: Noah’s Notes is officially done from Jump. Another title swallowed by Jump…maybe. It could’ve been pretty meh.
37:23: Gintama is not meh…but just like Noah’s Notes, it will officially be done in Jump…unless Sorachi’s on epic troll mode.
Planet With Podcast Special Section!
40:37: Yep, Justin and Helen have been watching Planet With. Both explain the fun they’ve had with the series, some of its cool moments, and a bit of speculation regarding where it’s gonna go. Also yes, spoilers are here. They’re definitely here.
58:40: Now on to weird news. Gintama’s gonna end in 5 chapters!!!
59:05: In true weird news that we didn’t talk about, Justin waxes poetic on how unpopular Detective Conan has been in the West. This leads to it getting its biggest advertisement yet: from Conan himself.
Yes, that Conan! And it’s actually still going!!!
1:03:14: Finally, someone’s gonna watch all 88 hours of Endless Eight. That someone should definitely regret even trying such a thing.
