0:00: Justin and Helen say hi over the internet again, and this then devolves into Justin chatting about what he’s been up to, which somewhat involves temporarily dropping an anime, finishing How to keep a mummy, and Infinity War and spoilers.
15:30: The two then discuss Amazon raising its prices from $99 a year to $119 a year, which doesn’t seem like a good thing.
19:25: Shirobako is getting a sequel movie! What it could be no one knows, but naturally, one of the hosts is disappointed that’s getting a movie.
21:25: If you’ve enjoyed Princess Principal (BTW, Neomo’s currently enjoying it), then you’re gonna enjoy it coming back as a movie!…Six movies to be exact! That’s some production schedule.
23:28: Helen didn’t realize Noragami was on hiatus, but the hiatus is no more! It’s coming back in June.
24:33: Bloom Into You is getting an anime! Helen is happy about that.
25:51: Kodansha’s releasing a bunch of digital titles again this month, and there’s one that at least got Justin’s attention enough that he had to buy it even at its current price.
29:34: Now this is the portion where the two hosts chat about the licenses expiring from companies, like Shiki (in June), Maria Watches Over Us, Kenichi, and Case Closed. The Case Closed part is where Justin reflects on the strange journey for the Detective Conan franchise in the US.
38:32: Glass Mask 1984 was licensed by HIDIVE, so we get into that, though only briefly since Justin initially thought it was a ballet anime for some reason.
42:29: Helen talks about Yoshikazu Yasuhiko announcing that Gundam: The Origin will be his last anime he’ll be working.
46:18: Here’s an interesting story involving a creator teaching inmates how to draw manga.
48:26: Final bit of news Helen and Justin get into is Nobuhiro Watsuki resuming the Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc in June. Needless to say, both are disappointed, and also wonder if Viz’s response, or lack of response, leaves it open for the title to return in English. The signs (only leaving the main Rurouni Kenshin series up on the Viz, doesn’t appear to have tweeted anything about the series) make them think they’ll try and pass.
56:24: To end the podcast, some weird news that involves an anime character vaping and how the Precure franchise faced a Fire Emblem situation at one point.
