0:00: Justin and Helen explain what they’ve been up to over the past few weeks, which ranges from Justin discussing what happens when you borrow a manga from the library and how that eventually leads to you buying the four volumes of the main light novel series digitally and reading that in essentially a week to Helen reading some more JNC titles, one of which got some recent discussion.

16:34: Good Smile Company and 4chan are part of the number the companies being sued by the families of last year’s mass shooting in Buffalo, NY, and the list of companies and people being sued is pretty big.
18:39: After Episode 6 of Oshi no Ko, a number of commenters noted the similarities to Hana Kimura’s death in 2020, and that did not escape the attention of Kimura’s mother, who was not happy about the show using it like that. The two hosts discuss this and the aftermath of the statement she made.
23:28: Lots more people will be sweating it out at Comiket this summer since they’re not limiting attendance this time!
24:48: Justin has already begin the speculating with Tsuyokute New Saga, which was slated for a summer anime premiere, but it’s now going to be delayed from airing. There has been no other information from its October announcement last year. This is definitely getting in the weird news section either this year or next year huh?
27:32: Manga creator Yako Gureishi is having a tough time right now – they’re struggling financially and recently while asking for donations they also said a lot about the Somari anime and how Comic Zenon handled cancelling the manga.
30:54: Saori Onishi’s limiting work due to dizziness and trouble breathing; Mitsuba Takanashi will need to have breast cancer surgery, so Otome Tsubaki wa Warawanai will go on hiatus until she’s better.

41:11: Netflix will actually be simulcasting My Happy Marriage July 5, no delaycast!; Crunchyroll added the Tenchi Muyo! GXP anime to its service.

42:28: One man tried to steal a bunch of Pokémon cards and resell them. Let’s just say he failed, spectacularly.
43:55: The Kuso Miso Technique crowdfunding succeeded. That means this anime is gonna happen, and Justin already sees many watching it on the most unexpected service possible.
45:16: At some point an editor mistook Rensuke Oshikiri with Shuzo Oshimi. This encounter was then animated to hilarious effect and seen on Twitter, where it went viral!
46:48: BART Communications put out an open call for California-based artists to submit a series of original anime mascots last summer, and that received nearly 500 submissions. They then unveiled the designs for this year’s FANIME. Somehow, this then led to even Amtrak somehow getting involved in this.
48:50: A Korean webtoon creator was accused of using AI images and tracing the Mushoku Tensei anime. The two hosts discuss this, but let’s just say Helen smartly did not try to say the name of Salamsallyeo’s past work that was also accused of plagiarism (49:22). Justin however thought he could say Akademi Peulleieoleul Jug-yeossda (51:26), but, well…
51:55: If you thought the NFT craze was over, think again! Yes, some company is making this into an anime, and we’re all sure this is going to succeed and not totally fail in any way possible. Correct!
