1:45: Kaoru Mori is recovering from surgery after suffering a number of ailments over the past year and some months. Justin and Helen can only wish her the best as she improves health wise.

4:49: Oshi no Ko has biggest series launch in HIDIVE’s history, according to them. Good for them! Meanwhile Helen explains why watching people react to watching Oshi no Ko has been her favorite anime of the season (???)
6:13: Cinedigm acquired the streaming rights for the remastered version of Nadia – The Secret of Blue Water, and it will exclusively stream on Retrocrush in June.
6:48: The remastered Saint Seiya dub is now on Crunchyroll! Just in time for the live-action film!…Wait a minute–
7:29: The web anime Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Road to the Top is streaming on YouTube with English subs. So no excuses for missing out on more horse girls competing to be the very best!
8:06: Finally some dates were revealed for the Spirited Away stage play — Helen ended up seeing it on one of the dates!
Main Topic: Spring Anime 2023 First Impressions
10:35: Justin and Helen had so much anime to watch this Spring season that of course they didn’t watch them all. Worse, despite watching two Spring anime, Justin forgot to make that clear in the script! But of course, Justin gives his last thoughts on a should’ve been Fall 2022 show but got delayed to Winter 2023 but then had another delay that went into the Spring 2023 season — Bofuri S2!
The two hosts then talk about what they did get a chance to see this season, from Skip and Loafer to The Reason Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke’s Mansion to Yuri is My Job! to [Oshi no Ko], to name a few. Of course the most discussion Justin and Helen get into involves Part 2 of Gundam: Witch From Mercury! (46:07)
Weird News
1:13:41: Someone out there ranked Detective Conan films by which ones had the most properly damage. That someone out there is wild for this but deserve much respect for doing this.
1:16:25: So with Twitter being inconsistent with its verification rules, we get a situation where Spy x Family creator Tatsuya Endo is confused as to why he still has a checkmark (and a gold one, which means you have to pay a lot of money to have it) — and did a drawing of Anya going WTH to emphasize this.
1:19:11: The Otome Youkai Zakuro manga will resume this Fall after 7 years on hiatus — looks like the author had some parenting to do over that timespan.
1:20:33: Assassination Classroom has been removed from a couple libraries in some states. Justin and Helen are wondering why it took so long since when this series got licensed, it certainly seemed like it would’ve rankled a certain section of people. But of course now it is, for likely dumb reasons.
1:23:13: After many, many, many years, the One Piece has been revealed — it is a McDonald’s Fried Chicken Burger. Yum?
1:24:58: The English version of takt op. Smartphone game will be released this summer. Both hosts are wondering how long this mobile game will last.
1:26:59: Fortnite has had way too many crossovers, so of course Attack on Titan would be the next one to join it! And yet you can’t be a titan though???
1:28:09: And in a final bit of weird news, as it turns out, there was indeed an American version of Saint Seiya that existed (Guardians of the Cosmos) — but welp, it got scrapped, for good reasons of course!
