Spring officially kicked off this week, although in some places here in the US, warmer weather seems a ways off still. But one of the most iconic signs of spring is flowers blooming, and some locales are even already having flower celebrations. But Japan has turned viewing their official flower, sakura a.k.a cherry blossom, into a tradition. So it’s no surprise sakura can be found constantly in Japanese, from the blossoms blooming in the background to flower themed attacks to whole arcs about events at a cherry blossom party or festival.
So today, to celebrate spring (or perhaps help usher in spring?) I present to you a list of animanga merchandise with sakura themes and accents. I stuck to items in stock for this list, so unfortunately a couple of items I so wanted to include didn’t make the cut. Maybe next time!

Spy X Family Picnic Portrait Button – $3.90 at Hot Topic
Here, while the story is technically set in a land akin to divided Germany, the Forger family demonstrates one of the most popular Japanese pastimes in the spring: hanami, flower viewing. While this image is bound to make you smile, let’s hope there is a second family picnic pin with their fourth member also enjoying the flowers!

Trends International Cardcaptor Sakura 25th Anniversary Key Visual 2 Wall Poster – $13.24 at Amazon
It didn’t feel right to not have a Sakura on this list, and while there are several anime girls to choose from, I went with one who has the series named after her. Here is the cardcaptor amidst her namesake flower in this 14.725″ x 22.375″ poster. You also choose to upgrade your poster to a bigger size (22.375″ x 34″) or frame/mounting. Depending on your selection, the price can go up to $42.49.

Studio Ghibli My Neighbor Totoro Cherry Blossoms Kitchen Set – $22.90 at BoxLunch
Getting ready to make some Easter goodies or pack a picnic? Use this three piece oven mitt, potholder, and kitchen towel set for some spring cheer while you work. Or use them as cute décor. You can also check out the sleepy Totoro version here, and while the two feature different colors and images, they both have a lot of cherry blossom spirit.

Re:Zero Rem & Emilia Sakura T-Shirt – $24.95 at Crunchyroll Store
The two ladies hug in a flower field as petals swirl around them. Note that some reviewers complained of lackluster quality, so be aware the coloring may look dimmer than what your screen shows. Hopefully the print shows up well on your tee, as the design is very nice.

Vocaloid Sakura Miku (Deformed Ver.) Big Plush – $31.99 at Big Bad Toy Store
Miku in cherry blossom colors and garbs have been a tradition for years, and you can even find a variety of Sakura Miku plushies here and elsewhere. They come in a variety of sizes, which of course affects the price. But among ones in the same price range, Sakura Miku plushies feature different facial expression.
Shipping is $4 to most states.
3D Cherry Blossom Inuyasha Mini Backpack – $59.90 at Spencer’s
I was surprised by the number of Inuyasha products with sakura blossoms on them currently available. But for me, what stood out about this mini backpack are the 3D flowers, but cherry blossom are also printed around Inuyasha and Kagome and in the background in the front. It’s like a cherry blossom viewing party!

Ōkamiden Chibiterasu PVC (Exclusive Edition) – $134.99 at First 4 Figures
Okay, not technically anime, but take a look at this gorgeous sakura tree! Not to mention the adorable Chibiterasu. This statue is available elsewhere for about $110, but at the company’s website, you can get this version which includes lighting functions and a special box that can be used as a display.

Teasing Master Takagi-san 3 Takagi-san: Sakura Kimono Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure – $163.99 at Tokyo Otaku Mode
There are many cute and gorgeous figures out there with an anime theme, and while Takagi-san here may not have a sakura stand like others, petals blowing around her, or the like, her kimono pattern just screams spring. The pink to yellow is full of cheer, and the cherry blossom pattern stands out with its large and small flowers.
